Background

Ko Ngauru Rawiri tōku ingoa. Nō Ngāti Mutunga, Te Ātiawa, Tūhoe me Ngāti Kahungunu au.

My name is Ngauru Rawiri and I am a kaupapa Māori tutor at WITT/Te Pūkenga. I have 4 children between the ages of 3 and 7 and they are my inspiration for teaching mātauranga Māori. My dream is that they, along with all of our tamariki here in Aotearoa, grow up proud of, and confident in, their whakapapa/hongonga to our iwi Māori. I am passionate about sharing my mātauranga with others and seeing how that grows within their whānau and wider communities.
